- Dongwha Enterprise’s wood recycling efforts help replace wood imports (11.6 billion won a year), save waste wood incineration costs (7.5 billion won a year), prevent environmental damage caused by burying waste wood, and minimize carbon dioxide emitted by burning wood. The total amount of costs saved annually exceeds 200 billion won.
- Environmental Labeling Campaign in Cooperation with Furniture Makers
Dongwha has launched an environmental labeling campaign in a joint effort with the renowned furniture makers Enex, Iloom, Wooami and others to encourage the use of eco-friendly materials. - The environmental labeling system marks the environmental friendliness of furniture, the names of materials manufacturers and the place of origin. Consumers can check the quality of furniture on the “Eco-Materials Mark” attached to furniture and the “Dongwha Eco-Mark” attached to furniture materials.
